Describe the condition without taking risks

Non-Runner Vehicle Transport

A vehicle that will not start is not necessarily a vehicle that cannot be moved safely for loading. ROVEX considers non-runner transport for private customers and businesses after assessing the condition, loading requirements, access, route and availability. Acceptance is confirmed for the individual job.

Starting, rolling, steering and braking are different

A non-starting vehicle may still have wheels that turn, working steering and brakes. Another vehicle may have locked wheels, damaged steering or an ineffective brake system. These differences affect whether suitable loading and unloading arrangements can be made.

Tell us what is already known about each function. If you are unsure, say “unknown”. Do not push, tow, release brakes, attempt a start or test an unsafe vehicle just to answer a question. Photos already available from a safe position, a garage report or an auction condition description can help explain the situation.

Explain what may affect loading

Mention known damage, missing wheels or tyres, leaks, loose components, very low ground clearance and whether keys are available. Describe where the vehicle stands, including any slope, tight turn, underground parking, height barrier or narrow entrance. Do not enter a dangerous area to gather information.

Non-rolling, non-steering or non-braking vehicles need individual assessment. An enquiry does not mean that a particular loading method or equipment is available. The team can ask follow-up questions and confirm whether the move is suitable before booking.

Unloading needs a plan too

Give the delivery postcode and explain whether it is a garage, yard or private address. Make sure the receiving person knows the condition and can discuss access. Do not assume that a vehicle can simply be driven away after unloading.

For an auction purchase, check release and collection arrangements. If the vehicle is currently broken down beside a road, use recovery enquiries and the breakdown safety guidance rather than treating it as a routine planned move.

Vehicle suitability and collection area

We welcome enquiries for all vehicle types except HGVs. Acceptance depends on condition, loading requirements, access, route and availability; a vehicle type alone does not confirm suitability.

We prefer local collections within a 30-mile straight-line radius of L9, Liverpool. This is a collection preference, not a limit on longer-distance work. Collections and deliveries throughout the UK, Ireland and Europe can be considered, subject to the job, route, availability and required arrangements.

Contact us in the way that suits you

Send the main details using the existing website form, WhatsApp or telephone. The team can guide you through any follow-up questions. Suitability, price and arrangements must be agreed before a booking is confirmed.

During a journey, a driver’s live location can be shared through WhatsApp when available. This is not continuous tracking or a guarantee of an arrival time.

For urgent recovery or roadside help, call and confirm availability before waiting for assistance. For other questions, see contact details or the vehicle transport overview.
